International Education Consulting
We have all sat through boring presentations where the speaker speaks, and the audience slowly drifts off due to lack of immersive engagement. Teachers are no different than the students they teach. Students want to be actively engaged in the learning- not simply 'talked at.' We don't use the word 'worskhop' instead, we call them 'Fun'shops!
Using a variety of teaching and presentation methods, we keep the learning active and engaged by mixing in fun activities that engage the participants. This way, participants are more engaged and less likely to drift off in thought or asleep!
Our 'fun'shops are practical, informational, and fun. Participants become students and get to see and learn first-hand the 'art of facilitation.' Through creative presentation of information, participants will experience the value of connection when a teacher/leader understands the power in discovering the Group Growth Process.
The Group Growth Process is a fundamental understanding that anyone who leads others needs to harness. A group will move anytime they spend time together on a shared purpose. But just because they spend time together, does not mean they will grow in unity or purpose without intentional steering and guidance from the teacher/leader. When a leader learns how to facilitate, they can grow the group and the individuals in a much more profound way.
Teachers are leaders. However, with so much pressure on teachers to cram content into the minds of students just so that they can score well on examinations, the 'results-driven' education comes at a cost to the student. Teachers cave to the pressure and feel that their only option is to focus on teaching data and therefore fail to make a connection with the learner.
Discovering the 'group growth process' is the key to advancing a group to become more effective and empowered. By modeling facilitation techniques, blended with excellent content to train teachers as leaders- our 'fun'shops are always well received and enjoyed. Participants also receive a completion certificate at the end of the training ceremony.

We have all sat through presentations that were notable and unforgettable. When they are good- they are memorable but so are the bad ones! Participants want to learn but they also want to be engaged and involved in the process. The same can be said of students- they want to learn but they also want to be engaged and involved in the process. This is the key to mastering the 'Art of Facilitation.'
This 2-day 'fun'shop is a blend of instructional methods that models best practices for active & engaged learning. In essence, the 'fun'shop participants become the students being facilitated, taught, and led by the teacher. Not only are the participants learning the 'art of facilitation’, but they are also involved in immersive activities to enhance the learning process.
